I've had the pleasure to work with Green Box for several years documenting each year's unique art installation. This year artist Patrick Dougherty (and a lot of volunteers!) built this incredible structure entirely out of local tree saplings. "I always look for starting points when planning a work, and in this case I was interested in the petroglyphs of the area and, particularly, renderings of the human form," Dougherty said. "I thought the wild pattern of feet might make an interesting starting point." It's a fantastic art piece - this is a great opportunity to appreciate up close the work of this world-renowned artist. Luckily the sculpture won't be coming down anytime soon so check it out if you're in the area.
