The spring issue of Modern In Denver has a feature with great personal interest - “Naturally Modern” tells the story of the National Park Service’s Mission 66 program where modernist structures were built across the country’s national parks. The story is wonderfully written by Atom Stevens. It was quite an adventure for me to travel to all of Colorado’s national parks and photograph the buildings that are still standing that were part of this program. It also gave me an opportunity to enjoy the parks I had never been to before. Certainly a subject I am going to continue to explore across the country!
